Description
The Handspring Visor Deluxe was a personal digital assistant (PDA) released in 1999 by Handspring, Inc. It cost $249 USD and came with a USB docking cradle, leather slip case, stylus, Palm Desktop Software for Mac/Windows and 2xAAA batteries. It’s 8MB of RAM allowed for storing approximately: 12000 addresses, 10 years of appointments (approx. 6000), 6000 to do items, 6000 memos, 400 email messages. Pictured here is a Visor Deluxe in the colour Blue, but it was also released in colours Graphite, Ice, Green, and Orange.
This particular artifact was used by the donor to record research notes while visiting historical archives in 2001.
