Description
This specific model of the iMac G3 came out October 5, 1999, as it is a slot loading optical drive model, which came out almost a year after the original iMac G3. This one was marked “c4095” On the top of the case with the serial number “RN1239BLKM3”. This computer had no floppy drives or serial ports, as Apple wanted it to be a completely modern computer with no legacy hardware. While it was in development, it was codenamed the “C1”. The cheapest model you could get sold for $1,367.43 CAD, and it originally shipped with MacOS 8.5.
