This is write amplifier module manufactured by Ferranti-Packard company.
This type of module was commonly used by Ferranti engineers in the mid 1950s. After, Ferranti merged to become Ferranti-Packard in 1958 for various electronic computing projects.
Ferranti and Packard were established in Canada near the end of the 19th century. Two companies prospered with the knowledge of British firms until the Great Depression and World War II struck. Ferranti and Packard then became Ferranti-Packard. Unfortunately, the company continued on a financial roller coaster and was sold to Rolls-Royce in 1989, closing a chapter in Canadian computer history.
