Description
Invented in 1891, the rotary dial telephone didn't become famous until the 1950s. The artifact was purchased at a thrift store. It was manufactured by International Telephone and Telegraph (ITT), which was founded in 1920. The rotary telephone had its heyday from the 1950s to the 1980s before it was replaced by push button telephone designs.
