Description
This artifact is 10.5" Scotch audio tape reel. It is produced in the USA, circa 1960's. Fading label on the reel with the numbers "56154 35 12 36 346" attached to the front. Scotch, the product's manufacturer, was a premier reel-to-reel tape manufacturer founded in 1948. Scotch, particularly 111, was considered "studio standard" throughout the 1950s and 1960s music scenes. Scotch tapes were used to record songs by The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Beach Boys, and many other astonishing artists in the 60s. Scotch is unquestionably the hidden witness of music history.
