Description
PC Gamer is a magazine that started in the 1993 and was geared towards those who had an interest in PC games. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, PC Gamer would include CD-ROM as part of their monthly issues. In these CDs were demos of games, unreleased game content, cheats, mods, and other exclusive content that wasn't typically on the market.
For the month of September in 1996, PC Gamers released a CD containing a seven playable levels of Quake, a first-person shooter which would later be hailed as one of the greatest video games in all time. Also featured in this edition were Settlers 2, Star Fighter PC, Iron Blood, Alien Trilogy, and more.
