Description
This book is Titled 'The Slide Rule' (The sixth Edition) and was first Published in 1946 by Robert Gordon Blaine. The book starts off with what the author describes as "contracted arithmetic methods" which are essentially methods of doing large multiplications and divisions by hand (and saving time doing them with a slide rule), the book then goes on to give a lesson on Logarithms. Next the book starts on how to read a slide rule and then how to calculate with it. The book details that slide rules are capable of calculating Multiplication/Division, Sines/Tangents of Angles, Powers/Roots, Areas/Volumes, and the list goes on.
