Description
The National Cash Register Company (NCR) was an Ohio-based cash register manufacturer company founded in the 1880s. In the 1950s, the company soon switched to creating computers and other general-purpose machines for businesses. While their computers were a modest success, NCR soon turned their focus and efforts into manufacturing ATMs. Included in this artifact is the manual for the MS-DOS operating system and three floppy disks to install the OS. MS-DOS was an operating system created by Microsoft and eventually issued to be used by many NCR computers.
